Red Hat makes it easy to share

Hospitals will share patient data, case studies, information from shared pool and much more….BS reports Red Hat Software Services plans to facilitate sharing of data as well as patient history within various hospitals to promote better healthcare services. Red Hat has already started this service on test phase in various Hospitals across Maharashtra. They have joined hands with number of Govt as well as private hospitals. The company has also tied up with HP(hewlett-Packard) which runs many applications related to patient’s database and their medical records.
Red Hat, provider of Linux and open source technologies, is foraying into the Indian healthcare sector after serving banking, financial services and telecommunication sector.
Our comments: Indian healthcare system has always lacked a synchronized platform, this sharing of data will not only help Hospitals to improve their services but also gives lot of convenience to patients by having their record on shared platform.
